Deadbolts are an economical way to achieving high security external locking. A deadbolt does not have any latching mechanism, just a pure locking bolt. Night Latches are a similar concept but can be pulled close without having the key at hand. These are also great for retrofitting to where existing deadbolts have been. You may be looking for Traditional Mortice Locks or modern Euro Mortice Locks instead.

 

Most of our locks below come ready to go out of the box with all necessary hardware included - the few products that do not; have all the necessary information in their descriptions. Generally, all our deadbolt locks come with two keys included with each quantity of lock. For multiple quantities, we will have your order keyed alike by standard - otherwise, please specify in the checkout if you would like your locks keyed to differ from one another (e.g. for a separate granny flat or such).

We recommend Jacksons Locks for our deadbolt locks; Australian-made and the best in quality & reliability. For retrofitting; a backset measurement refers to the distance from the edge of the door to the centre of where the key is inserted - 60mm is standard in Australia, but generally 45mm backsets are also available. For rebated double doors, you will need to purchase a rebated variant rather than a standard deadbolt.
